Hello Future Marching Knights!
We are looking forward to the 2023 Middle School Band Night! All 7" and 8' grade band students from schools that feed into Prospect are invited to join us on Friday, October 6th.
You'll learn how to march and during the pregame show you will play the Prospect School Song (Loyalty) and the National Anthem on the field alongside the current Prospect Marching Knights.
You can get music for both of these pieces from your band director. If you are interested in color guard, come join us as well!
That night you will receive a short sleeve t-shirt provided by Prospect Band Boosters (if you have one from a past year, please bring it) and should wear jeans and sneakers to complete a "uniform" look. Feel free to bring a long sleeve shirt to wear underneath if it is cold.
Here is what we have planned for you:

| 4:15 | Students are dropped off at Prospect High School for check-in and t-shirt distribution (Door 32 on the west side of the building). Please bring your instrument, lyre (if you have one), and music! |
| 4:30 | Rehearsal with high school band members |
| 5:15 | Dinner (Pizza - provided by the Prospect Band Boosters) |
| 6:00 | Band puts on uniforms |
| 6:15 | Warm up with band, proceed to stadium |
| 6:45 | Pregame performance on the field with the band |
| 7:00 | Game begins and all students in the end zone stands with the Prospect band |
| 8:15 | (approx.) Watch the band's halftime performance |
| 8:30 | (approx.) After halftime, students return to the band room to put away their instruments, are dismissed and are picked up by their parents at Door 32. You and your parents are then welcome to return to the field to watch the end of the game, if you'd like. |

Don't forget to practice your music! Middle School Band Directors have copies of the music for you.
We hope that you will be able to join us! Our goal in hosting this event is to provide a fun evening at Prospect for you, our future Marching Knights, where you can experience a small taste of what it's like to be in the band or color guard, and to spend time with some of your future band mates. We look forward to seeing you at Prospect on October 6th!
